Join the Orchestra

CRSO is primarily an orchestra for local musicians, both amateur and professional. We are a friendly, relaxed group of players, most of whom are subscribing members of the society, therefore having some interest and influence in the aims and ambitions of the orchestra.

As the only symphonic orchestra resident in the Medway Towns, we offer players the opportunity to rehearse and perform a wide range of classical music and we are always keen to hear from anyone who would like to join us.



We are also keen to encourage young players, who are welcome to attend rehearsals until they are considered confident enough to play in concerts. We have some young people who have become members and their contribution is valued and respected. A good number of the current membership joined CRSO while still at school and will freely admit that the experience of playing in a largely adult environment had a profound effect on their musical perception and their motivation to improve.

How to join us
